HEALING THROUGH STORYTELLING
Liwaayda uses our traditional stories to get our audiences engaged in healing and strengthening workshops. The traditional values and skills taught through our ancient stories are lessons the youth and adults can bring home to share with their families and communities. Contact us if you would like for us to share this healing practice with your community.
TRADITIONAL SONGS AND STORYTELLING
We use many stories, games, and activities that have been past down for generations to show the inner strength of the individual and pride in oneself. Our passion is to inspire and teach youth and adults how to use these activities and tools in their own communities and family.
Our Indigenous public speakers use storytelling, drumming, and traditional teachings to engage audiences of all ages with emphasis on reaching at-risk youth. We are devoted in giving all audiences the tools, courage, and self-respect to make positive changes in their lives, their homes, and their community.
SING LOUD AND PROUD
It is important for the young people to be taught the skills needed to stand tall and be proud. This starts with understanding who we are and the deep heritage we all have no matter where you are from. Everyone has an identity and everyone can make a difference. Through our workshop we focus on teaching this to the audience.
